Getting started
Hightouch supports syncing data from Metabase Cloud or your own self-hosted instance. We also
offer tunnels and reverse tunnels to avoid exposing instances to the public Internet.
Questions
Hightouch allows to extract data directly from a Metabase Question. Create a model and choose "Data selector". Any private
or public Question will be available to be queried.
Table
Also you can create models using Metabase Tables. During the model creation, choose Data selector and pick the table you
want to query.
Raw SQL
You can run queries against your warehouse using Hightouch models. If you have connected a warehouse to your Metabase
instance, just copy the name in the Metabase UI and add it to the Database field in the source configuration.
IMPORTANT Metabase has a hard limit of 1 million rows for how many results you could extract from a Raw SQL query, table or question.
If you need a larger dataset, please connect your warehouse directly to Hightouch. We support most warehouse types.
You'll need to allowlist Hightouch's IP addresses to allow our systems to contact your warehouse. Reference our docs to determine which IPs you need to allowlist.
